UK Konkans, a leading Mangalorean Catholic Association in the UK, held its Biennial General Meeting on 2nd March 2019 to elect new Office Bearers for 2019-2021.
The meeting started with a prayer led by Raphael D’Souza paying tribute to Estella Vaz – one of the founder members and Ex-President of UK Konkans. The committee also prayed for continued unity among the Mangalorean community. Outgoing President – Sheela D’Silva welcomed the members and thanked everyone for their tremendous support during her tenure. The feedback on UK Konkans events was very positive from guests and members. UK Konkans is committed to financially support the underprivileged and supported various charities in the last 2 years. DGM Bethel Church, Shankarapura, a worthy charity reaching out to the destitute and neglected children and adults & ‘Humanity’ charity led by Roshan Belman.
Sheela wished the new Office Bearers all the very best and promised her support.
Treasurer – Tom D’Souza placed the Biennial report outlining various activities held during the last two years and read out the financial report and thanked all sponsors and well-wishers.
