The members of UK Konkans met on 27th February 2010 to elect Office Bearers for the years 2010-2012. Outgoing president Raphael D’Souza welcomed the members and placed the Biennial report outlining the various achievements and the financial report for the last two years. The Following Office bearers were elected by unanimous decision.
President-Eric D’Souza, Vice President-Irene Lobo, Secretary-Tom D’Souza, Cultural Secretary-Gratian D’Silva, Treasurer-Michael D’Souza, Web Administrator-Melwyn Vaz and Public Relationship Officer-Raphael Dsouza.
The new president Eric D’Souza who is also one of the the founder members of UK Konkans, is very enthusiastic about the future activities of UK Konkans. He has promised to reach out to all Mangaloreans living in and around London. He emphasised that the younger generation will be encouraged to show their talents and at the same time help them to learn Mangalorean culture and family values. He also requested all Mangaloreans living in UK to take part in the various functions and activities organised by UK Konkans or other Mangalorean Associations local to their areas.
