UK Konkans Community Picnic 2026

UK Konkan organised a delightful community picnic on 4 July 2026 at Bedfont Lakes Country Park, bringing together the Konkani-speaking community and friends for a day of fun, fellowship, and togetherness.

Blessed with beautiful warm weather, the picnic was a great success. The UK Konkan team had made excellent preparations, ensuring the day was filled with a wonderful mix of music, games, and sporting activities for everyone to enjoy.

Mrs. Beena Dsouza, President of UK Konkan, warmly welcomed all the guests and officially opened the picnic with the traditional game of dodgeball, setting a lively and energetic tone for the day.

Tom and Kevin organised a variety of fun-filled games that catered to all age groups. The blindfold game and the neck-ball passing challenge for the men had everyone laughing and created many memorable moments.

The volleyball tournament was one of the highlights of the day. Played over the best of three sets, the matches were competitive, entertaining, and thoroughly enjoyed by both the players and the spectators.

A delicious lunch was lovingly prepared and served by the volunteers, followed by refreshing fruit platters and homemade sheera. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who generously shared food and drinks, adding to the warmth and spirit of our community gathering.

Our sincere appreciation goes to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, paying attention to every detail and ensuring the event ran smoothly. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and made the day so special. It was truly wonderful to come together and celebrate as one big family.

Overall, it was an enjoyable, relaxing, and memorable picnic, leaving everyone with happy memories of a wonderful day spent in great company. We look forward to many more such gatherings in the future.
